Greeley Youth Hockey Season
Greeley Youth Hockey Association will be playing in the CRHL (Colorado Recreational Hockey League). This is a recreational level league, however, our teams do travel within Colorado and sometimes southern Wyoming. There is no out of state travel by any of our teams.
Teams will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and will initially be capped at 18 skaters and 2 goalies (total of 20 players per team). A wait list will be available if a team is filled and consideration of adding additional teams at any age level will be based on number of additional players on the wait list.

IF YOU HAVE A 14U OR 18U PLAYER that needs a place to play this year, please email registrar@greeleyyouthhockey.org we do still have a short waitlist for these teams and are trying to accommodate more players if possible.
All players must first obtain a 2024-25 season USAH confirmation number inorder to register. This is an annual requirement and is not the same number your player had last year. Please go to the membership page for USA Hockey and obtain your number prior to starting your GYHA registration. Click HERE to go to the USAH website.
ALL 2006 & 2007 birth year players must also complete the USAH SafeSport training before they can be placed on a team roster. Please do this now rather than waiting until after school starts!
Registration fees and dates for the 2024-25 season
Register early! An early registration discount will be available with code EARLYBEAR24 through June 30th. Fees will increase on July 5th!
Mites (8U) $810 ($860 on or after 7/5)
Squirt (10U) $1185 ($1235 on or after 7/5)
Peewee (12U) $1205 ($1255 on or after 7/5)
Bantam (14U) $1260 ( $1310 on or after 7/5)
Midget (18U) $1285 ($1335 on or after 7/5)
Early registration fees will be honored for waitlisted players, if you are on the wait list prior to July 5th.
Payment plan is available and consists of $250 deposit due at registration and 4 equal payments for remaining balance. Please note that if you are on a payment plan and your account falls past-due, your player will be removed from the ice until the account is brought current.

18U/14U late August to mid March
12U/10U September to mid March
8U October 1st to mid March
Tournament and Jamboree dates vary but are typically on Holiday weekends (Thanksgiving, between Christmas and New Years, MLK weekend, President's Day Weekend).
If you are on a payment plan, the payment schedule is as follows:

What's included in my registration fees?
Bantam (14U), and Midget (18U)
- Home and Away game jerseys and socks
- Approximately 20-22 team practice sessions
- Weekly association-wide "skills & drills" sessions
- 14-18 CRHL league games
- End-of-season playoff tournament
- Team opportunity to participate in up to 3 tournaments at additional cost (teams will participate in fundraising to cover this cost)
Squirt (10U), PeeWee (12U)
- Home and Away game jerseys and socks
- Weekly on-ice team practice sessions (approx 18-20)
- Weekly on-ice skills & drills sessions
- 14-18 CRHL league games
- End-of-season playoff tournament
- Team opportunity to participate in up to 3 tournaments at additional cost (teams will participate in fundraising to cover this cost)
Mites (8U)
- Home and Away game jerseys and socks
- Home and away games with other area teams (up to 4 each)
- weekly on-ice practices
- weekly on-ice skills & drills sessions
- Opportunity to participate in Jamborees (similar to older player tournments) at additional cost (teams will participate in fundraising to cover this cost)
2024-2025 Season Age Classifications are based on the player's age as of midnight on December 31 of the current season. In the United States, USA Hockey designates the following levels. Click here for the official USA Hockey Age Guidelines.
- 8U - ages 8 & under (Born 2016-2018)
- 10U - ages 9-10 (Born 2014-2015)
- 12U - ages 11-12 (Born 2012-2013)
- 14U - ages 13-14 (Born 20010-2011)
- 18U - ages 15-18 (Born 2006-2009)
Players will not be permitted to play in a higher age bracket unless specifically authorized by the Coaching Director and approved by the Board of Directors. Players who feel they are capable of playing at a higher age group must first submit an inquiry in writing to the Coaching Director and the Board of Directors. It is the policy of the Board to base these decisions on the safety of the player(s) involved and the best-interest of the Association as a whole, rather than the preference of the individual player/parent.
If approved, the decision will be for that current season only.
Under no circumstances can a player play-up more than one level and a player can never play down an age level.
